This project consolidated safety principles into an easily usable guidebook format for use by South African municipalities conducting precinct management and planning, to support the institutionalisation of safety principles in local government in South Africa, and to strengthen and improve sustainability of precinct management and planning across the country. It also entailed some direct hands-on support to a municipality conducting precinct planning.
